Waymo is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer for its Mapping team to enhance the creation of high-resolution maps for autonomous driving. The role involves designing and deploying machine learning models while collaborating with other teams to apply advanced techniques in mapping automation.

What you'll do

• Design, train, and deploy machine learning models for HD map automation
• Utilize state-of-the-art ML techniques including Vision-Language Models
• Manage the entire model development lifecycle from data processing to production
• Collaborate with other ML teams to implement cutting-edge research
• Support safe autonomous driving with high-resolution mapping solutions

What they're looking for

• 4+ years in Machine Learning focusing on computer vision/deep learning
• Proficiency in deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Experience with end-to-end problem ownership
• B.S. in Computer Science or a related field
• Familiarity with model adaptation techniques is a plus
