Manufacturing Engineer I/II

About this role

Zone 5 Technologies is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer I/II in San Luis Obispo to improve and implement manufacturing processes for unmanned aircraft systems. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and compliance with standards.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement manufacturing methods for new and existing products
• Integrate automation into production lines
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams
• Analyze and improve production workflows
• Create detailed manufacturing documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations

What they're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• 1+ years of experience for Engineer I, 3+ years for Engineer II
• Proficiency in CAD software
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• Understanding of manufacturing processes
• Experience in aerospace or defense (preferred)
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (preferred)
