About this role

Zoox seeks an embedded software engineer to develop and maintain firmware for multiple MCU platforms powering their autonomous vehicles. You'll collaborate with electrical and validation teams to enable new hardware support and accelerate cross-project development.

What you'll do

  • Develop and extend embedded firmware for multiple microcontroller platforms
  • Maintain and improve support for existing MCU-based systems in Zoox vehicles
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers on hardware integration and validation
  • Create reusable software abstractions and platform layers
  • Accelerate application development by enabling new platform capabilities
  • Work with validation engineers to ensure firmware robustness and reliability
