Software Engineer

About this role

Zuora is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Integration Hub team in Foster City, CA, focusing on developing scalable integration services and APIs. The role involves working collaboratively to enhance system performance, reliability, and observability for seamless data integration in the Subscription Economy.

What you'll do

• Design and build scalable integration services and APIs
• Develop event-driven architectures for real-time data flows
• Collaborate with Product and Security teams for extensible capabilities
• Enhance system performance and resilience
• Write clean and well-tested code
• Contribute to architectural discussions

What they're looking for

• 5+ years in backend or full-stack development
• Proficient in Java or modern programming languages
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Familiar with event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka)
• Understand relational databases like Postgres
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Interest in emerging technologies and AI tools
