About this role

1X is seeking a Device Management Engineer to design and scale endpoint fleet management infrastructure supporting their humanoid robotics development and manufacturing operations. You'll own device provisioning, patch management, compliance, and monitoring across engineering and production environments while improving security posture and operational efficiency through automation.

What you'll do

  • Design and scale device management systems across engineering, robotics, and operational environments
  • Implement provisioning, patch management, compliance, and monitoring workflows for device endpoints
  • Develop automation tooling and infrastructure-as-code solutions to reduce manual operational overhead
  • Partner with Security, IT, Robotics, and Infrastructure teams on endpoint security and operational readiness
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across distributed device endpoints and infrastructure
  • Standardize device configurations and improve fleet reliability and security
