About this role

Abnormal AI seeks an Application Security Engineer II to secure AI-powered systems and LLM-integrated features on their AWS platform. You'll lead threat modeling, build security tooling for CI/CD pipelines, and coach engineering teams on secure development practices with a focus on AI-native architecture risks.

What you'll do

  • Lead threat modeling and security architecture reviews for AI-powered features including LLM integrations and agentic workflows
  • Design and deploy automated security testing and tooling within CI/CD pipelines
  • Serve as hands-on technical contributor during security incidents and response
  • Coach developers across the organization on secure coding and threat modeling for AI systems
  • Define security posture metrics and build dashboards to track vulnerability trends
  • Partner with engineering teams to translate security risks into concrete development actions
