Reference Data Engineer
About this role
KKR seeks an Assistant Vice President of Software Engineering to design and deliver scalable backend services and data pipelines on the Operations Systems team. You'll combine senior individual contribution with emerging technical leadership, working primarily in Python with Apache Spark and Terraform while mentoring junior engineers.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and own scalable backend services and data pipelines in Python
- Develop large-scale data processing workflows using Apache Spark for batch and near-real-time scenarios
- Lead data modeling, schema design, and ETL/ELT workflow architecture with strong data quality oversight
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Own significant workstreams end-to-end from technical design through production operations
- Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering quality through code and design reviews
