About this role

Join Abnormal's Identity Security team as a Software Engineer II to build AI-powered fraud detection and identity verification systems that protect enterprises from sophisticated infiltration and social engineering threats during hiring. You'll develop correlation engines, real-time pipelines, and automated guardrails that analyze candidate data to identify malicious actors before onboarding.

What you'll do

  • Design and build identity verification and fraud detection systems for candidate application screening
  • Develop correlation engines that match candidate signals (IPs, phone numbers, emails, resume metadata) against fraudulent and state-sponsored activity indicators
  • Create high-availability data pipelines ingesting signals from ATS, identity providers, and external risk intelligence
  • Ship automated real-time guardrails flagging high-risk candidates for security team action
  • Drive rapid 0→1 prototyping, testing fraud detection assumptions, and scaling effective solutions based on emerging threats
  • Collaborate with security, platform, and data teams on technical designs and SDLC processes
