About this role
Accenture Federal Services seeks a Data Engineer to design and deploy large-scale RAG pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and scalable data systems in AWS. The role involves building reliable data architectures for federal government clients across defense, national security, and civilian organizations, requiring hands-on expertise in orchestration, search optimization, and data governance.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain RAG pipelines including document ingestion, indexing, embeddings, and retrieval workflows
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS services (S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Glue, EMR, ECS/EKS)
- Build and orchestrate workflows with Prefect, ensuring reliability and error handling
- Implement ElasticSearch indexing, cluster management, and query optimization for search patterns
- Collaborate with architecture, ML, and application teams on scalable data solutions
- Ensure data quality, lineage, governance, and security across distributed systems
