Design Quality Engineer
About this role
Accenture Federal Services seeks a Design Quality Engineer to validate CAD model conversions for an aerospace & defense modernization program. You'll review converted mechanical (Creo) and electrical (Zuken E3) models against source drawings, ensure PLM compliance, and document deviations and corrective actions.
What you'll do
- Execute structured validation checks on converted mechanical models covering integrity, tolerancing, annotations, completeness, and release readiness
- Validate electrical models by checking wiring, connectors, connectivity, device-tree structure, and BOM alignment
- Compare converted CAD models against source 2D drawings using overlays to confirm dimensional and content accuracy
- Verify CAD BOM to PLM EBOM alignment, revisions, attributes, and derivative file currency
- Author validation and deviation reports documenting build process, analyses, and corrective actions on standard templates
- Coordinate report reviews with client design, manufacturing, and quality leads to resolve form, fit, and function deviations
What they're looking for
- CAD quality, model checking, or design-quality engineering (5+ years)
- GD&T and model-based inspection (ASME Y14.5 and Y14.41)
- Creo MBD model validation and/or Zuken E3 wiring/harness definition review
- PLM systems knowledge (Windchill preferred) including BOM structure and configuration control
- Technical documentation and checklist-driven processes
- Drawing-to-model overlay validation
- CMM or metrology experience (preferred)
- DoD Technical Data Package familiarity (preferred)
