Electrical/Wire Harness Design Engineer

About this role

Accenture Federal Services seeks an Electrical/Wire Harness Design Engineer to convert legacy aerospace & defense electrical documentation into modern model-based definitions using Zuken E3.series and manage the transition into PLM systems. You'll ensure accurate connectivity, component attribution, and data integrity across complex electrical structures on a modernization program.

What you'll do

• Build electrical definitions in Zuken E3.series including wiring diagrams, cable/harness models with connectors, conductors, signals, and splices
• Verify correct connectivity: pins, conductor assignments, signal continuity, and component attributes
• Maintain organized device trees with proper part-number attribution and assembly grouping
• Reconcile E3 and PLM BOMs to ensure data consistency across systems
• Support obsolescence reviews and propose process/template improvements
• Convert legacy 2D schematics and diagrams into structured, model-based electrical definitions

What they're looking for

• Zuken E3.series (or willingness to learn through training)
• ECAD tools (Mentor Capital, EPLAN, Mentor/Xpedition, or equivalent)
• Electrical schematic creation and modification
• Connectors, pin-outs, wire sizing, and shielding knowledge
• Cable and harness design experience
• PLM systems understanding (Windchill preferred)
• Electro-mechanical integration and MCAD/ECAD co-design
• Aerospace & defense industry familiarity
