Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)
About this role
Accenture Federal Services seeks an Information System Security Engineer to design, build, and maintain security controls and tooling for cloud-based federal systems. You'll architect identity and access solutions, administer SIEM and vulnerability management platforms, and provide technical security input for RMF authorization packages while supporting incident detection and STIG compliance.
What you'll do
- Design and implement security controls (IAM, encryption, network security) across cloud environments
- Engineer and administer security tooling including SIEM (Splunk), vulnerability management (Nessus/ACAS), and compliance tools
- Develop security-as-code automation using Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, or Python for consistent tooling deployment
- Create technical documentation and inputs for RMF authorization artifacts (SSP, SCTM, POA&Ms, Risk Assessments)
- Design incident detection logic, tune alerts, and improve telemetry to enhance incident response capabilities
- Conduct technical compliance reviews of systems against IA directives and data protection requirements
