Operations Engineer
About this role
Accenture Federal Services seeks an Operations Engineer to manage Tier Two operations for cloud platforms, handling escalations from the service desk while deploying and maintaining applications across Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, and AWS environments. You'll automate processes, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and collaborate with security and engineering teams in a fast-paced federal technology setting.
What you'll do
- Serve as primary escalation point for service desk, resolving complex application, network, and performance issues
- Administer Windows systems using PowerShell DSC, GPO, and virtual desktop management
- Oversee Kubernetes clusters in private-cloud environments with maintenance and incident response
- Deploy and manage commercial and custom software on AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, Workspaces)
- Automate routine operational tasks and maintain job schedules for efficiency
- Collaborate with Cyber Security and Engineering teams to optimize cloud solutions and support DevOps initiatives
