Quality Engineer
About this role
Accenture Federal Services seeks a Quality Engineer to design and maintain automated testing across federal applications, partnering with product and engineering teams to shift quality left in the software development lifecycle. You'll build confidence in releases through automation, risk-based testing, and strategic quality practices while working on mission-critical government systems.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain automated tests across UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing layers
- Partner with product and engineering teams early to identify quality risks and improve testability
- Create test plans, test data, defect workflows, and quality metrics to support release decisions
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and shift quality left throughout the SDLC
- Validate APIs, web applications, data flows, and cloud-based applications across functional and nonfunctional requirements
- Lead quality strategy, mentor engineers, and establish quality standards as experience grows
