About this role

Accenture Federal Services seeks a Security Engineer to architect and deploy advanced cybersecurity solutions for Department of Defense programs. You'll manage enterprise security tools like Splunk and Nessus, implement cloud security across AWS/Azure, support RMF compliance, and lead incident detection while mentoring teams on secure design principles.

What you'll do

  • Administer and maintain cybersecurity platforms including Splunk Enterprise, Nessus/ACAS, Microsoft Defender, and STIG compliance tools
  • Develop and deploy security-as-code solutions using Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, and Python to automate security processes
  • Design and implement vulnerability management, patch management, and risk remediation across enterprise and cloud environments
  • Support incident detection, response, and investigation by developing detections, tuning alerts, and improving telemetry
  • Partner with ISSM/ISSO teams on RMF authorization activities, system security plans, continuous monitoring, and audit preparation
  • Engineer security requirements for DoD cloud environments (AWS, Azure) while developing technical documentation and mentoring team members
