Software Installation Engineer

About this role

Accenture Federal Services seeks a Software Installation Engineer to conduct onsite software installations at customer facilities, perform system and network configurations, manage data migrations, and support testing across project iterations. The role requires extensive experience with Linux systems, networking infrastructure, and federal security compliance, with frequent travel to both domestic and international customer sites.

What you'll do

• Execute onsite software installations and configurations at customer facilities and internal lab environments
• Perform system and network configurations, data migrations, and comprehensive system testing and verification
• Troubleshoot and resolve networking, application, and system access issues in collaboration with local technical teams
• Conduct site surveys and define quality control strategies in support of project managers
• Draft installation-related project documentation and provide weekly project status updates to customers
• Configure and manage networking infrastructure including routers, firewalls, VPNs, and security controls

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) installation, configuration, and operations
• Linux command line and scripting (Python, Go, Bash)
• CompTIA certifications (A+, Server+, Security+) and Cisco Certified Technician credentials
• Network configuration and management (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless controllers)
• HPE and HP hardware platform expertise
• Federal security frameworks (RMF, STIGs, NIST controls)
• Infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipeline tools
• MS Office suite and enterprise applications (LCAM, ASAP, Oracle)
