About this role
Adyen is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the nascent US Bank Accounts team in Chicago, building products that enable businesses to open, manage, and move money within their ecosystem. As an early team member, you'll shape technical architecture, own full-cycle projects, and collaborate across engineering and product to deliver scalable, reliable banking solutions.
What you'll do
- Execute complex technical projects from requirements through design, implementation, testing, and production launch
- Design and build scalable APIs and tooling that serve millions of merchants and shoppers
- Identify and improve platform components to enhance robustness, scalability, and performance
- Collaborate across teams and time zones to ship features rapidly and iterate based on feedback
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help define engineering standards and team culture
- Mentor team members and gather diverse perspectives on technical and product approaches
