About this role
Aeva seeks an Optical Aligner and Test Engineer to develop and refine optical alignment systems and test methodologies for 4D LiDAR sensors built on silicon photonics. You'll bridge prototype and high-volume production, collaborating across teams to optimize yield and test coverage.
What you'll do
- Design and optimize optical alignment systems for LiDAR optical modules
- Develop test methodologies and manufacturing test procedures from prototype through production
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to improve yield and throughput
- Work with precision motion systems, lasers, photodetectors, and optical measurement equipment
- Collaborate with product design, photonics, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams
- Establish test coverage and validation strategies for high-volume production
