Electrical Engineer 3
About this role
Senior electrical engineer role designing and developing electrical systems for unmanned vehicles (UAVs, UGVs, USVs), including avionics, power subsystems, and RF communication systems. The position combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, mentoring team members, and supporting production operations and new product integration.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems for unmanned military and commercial platforms
- Lead PCB design and schematic review using ECAD tools; develop wiring diagrams and control systems
- Mentor team members and collaborate with engineers and technicians to resolve technical issues
- Provide production support, troubleshooting, and serve as liaison between design and manufacturing
- Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems; implement quality control processes
- Lead customer-funded projects through transition to production and support flight testing operations
What they're looking for
- Circuit design and PCB layout (Altium, Eagle, KICAD, Fusion360)
- Embedded systems (microcontrollers, FPGAs, ARM processors, C/C++)
- RF design and simulation (ANSYS HFSS, CST Microwave Studio)
- Electrical simulation (LTspice) and lab instrumentation (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer)
- Avionics systems, battery technology, motor controllers, power distribution
- Industry protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, USB, HDMI, LVDS, MIPI)
- MCAD (Fusion360, SolidWorks) and team management tools (Jira, Confluence)
