About this role
Join Affirm's Post-Transaction team as a Backend Software Engineer II to build and operate systems that resolve customer issues and deliver accurate communications after card transactions settle. You'll work on high-impact, rapidly scaling systems serving one of Affirm's fastest-growing products while collaborating across product, compliance, and engineering teams.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and launch backend systems handling post-transaction workflows at scale
- Break down larger projects into phases and deliver incrementally with cross-team collaboration
- Create monitoring and metrics to ensure system reliability and support on-call responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, and analytics teams to evaluate technical constraints and trade-offs
- Conduct code reviews, debug complex issues, and navigate large codebases
- Contribute to team growth through interviews and mentoring activities
