Agile Defense seeks an experienced Systems Engineer III to lead complex Navy Combat Systems and Electronic Warfare engineering initiatives from requirements through lifecycle execution. This role demands deep technical expertise in naval systems architecture, design evaluation, and test planning for mission-critical defense applications.

What you'll do

  • Lead systems engineering efforts across Navy Combat Systems and Electronic Warfare platforms from requirements analysis through full implementation
  • Review and evaluate system architectures, component allocations, interfaces, and performance characteristics for combat and EW systems
  • Develop test plans, specifications, and reports for functional and system-level requirements validation
  • Generate requirements documentation, Trouble Reports, and Change Requests for failed or evolving system needs
  • Provide subject matter expertise to guide design decisions and recommend solutions for identified system problems
  • Support high-visibility training events and test execution for Navy systems including Aegis, FST, and SSDS platforms
