About this role
Haven Safety is seeking a Software Engineer to build and operate production LLM systems that power enterprise incident investigation and root-cause analysis. You'll design multi-agent reasoning pipelines, retrieval systems, and evaluation frameworks for safety-critical industries, reporting directly to the CTO in a foundational role at a VC-backed AI venture.
What you'll do
- Design and ship multi-step LLM pipelines with model calls, tool orchestration, graph queries, and quality gates
- Extend the agent orchestration layer to coordinate incident analysis from evidence collection through enterprise learning
- Build grounding and retrieval systems combining Neo4j graph traversal, vector search, and hybrid retrieval
- Develop evaluation frameworks including datasets, regression suites, human-label loops, and quality attribution
- Implement production monitoring: tracing, cost/latency tracking, failure handling, and anomaly detection
- Guide model selection across providers and shape the AI technical roadmap

- LLM evaluation and quality assurance (datasets, regression testing, human review loops)
- Neo4j, Cypher, and graph data modeling
- Production Python with FastAPI, async services, testing, and observability
- Context retrieval and augmentation strategies
- Production AI operations (monitoring, debugging, incident response)
- Multi-model provider experience (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)
- Enterprise security patterns (prompt injection, context leaking, tenant isolation)
