Device Engineer II (RF/EMC)
About this role
Alarm.com seeks an RF/EMC Engineer to independently conduct wireless performance testing and regulatory certification for multi-radio security and IoT devices. The role combines bench-level RF measurements, compliance troubleshooting, and end-to-end certification workflow management across cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, and sub-GHz technologies.
What you'll do
- Plan and execute RF performance and EMC pre-compliance testing per FCC, ISED, and CE/RED standards
- Perform RF measurements including TRP/TIS, power/spectrum, and radiated/conducted emissions analysis
- Troubleshoot and optimize RF performance and EMC compliance of multi-radio hardware designs
- Own certification workflow: prepare samples, develop test instructions, and coordinate with external labs
- Document test results and communicate findings to design and program teams
- Enhance testing capabilities through automation and AI tools

- Python or scripting for test automation
- Hardware design and bring-up
