Civil Project Engineer

About this role

Benesch seeks an experienced Civil Project Engineer to lead infrastructure design projects across Illinois, managing client relationships and directing project teams in transportation planning and design. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with opportunities to work on diverse municipal and private sector projects while contributing to the firm's growth.

What you'll do

• Complete project design plans and coordinate with Project Managers on data integration and analysis
• Establish project goals, milestones, and resource coordination while monitoring progress
• Develop high-quality engineering documents following quality control and documentation procedures
• Manage client relationships throughout Illinois and represent the firm at industry events
• Work on transportation projects involving geometrics, traffic highway, and drainage design
• Provide technical expertise and advisory support across multiple project types
