About this role
Benesch seeks an experienced Project Engineer to lead civil roadway design projects in Pennsylvania, managing teams and client relationships while developing plans compliant with PennDOT standards. This hybrid role offers progression toward management and opportunities to contribute to strategic growth within the transportation engineering division.
What you'll do
- Create and execute project schedules, work plans, and manage team budgets
- Lead project teams and mentor junior staff members
- Develop plans, specifications, and submissions per PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission standards
- Interact with clients, agencies, and stakeholders including PennDOT and county entities
- Identify business opportunities and lead strategic project pursuits
- Represent Benesch at industry events and professional engagement activities
What they're looking for
- Civil transportation design with 5+ years progressive experience
- Licensed PE in Pennsylvania or pursuing licensure
- Project management and budget/schedule adherence
- CADD software with advanced proficiency
- Traffic engineering knowledge
- Client communication and relationship management
- PennDOT standards and requirements expertise
- Independent task delivery and design documentation
