About this role
Benesch seeks an experienced Transportation Project Engineer to lead roadway and infrastructure design projects for state DOTs and municipalities in the Denver office. You'll manage designs from preliminary through final stages, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and support project managers on turnkey solutions.
What you'll do
- Design roadways, highways, and interstates from preliminary to final design phases
- Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates for transportation projects
- Coordinate with hydraulic, traffic, structures, and environmental disciplines to ensure quality
- Assist Project Managers and Design Leaders with day-to-day project execution
- Contribute to proposal development and client presentations
- Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records
What they're looking for
- Roadway design (10+ years required)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Microstation and/or Inroads (Open Roads Designer preferred)
- Civil engineering fundamentals and standards
- Interdisciplinary coordination and communication
- Plans, specifications, and cost estimation
- CDOT design standards (preferred)
- Written and verbal communication
