Network Engineer
About this role
ACS is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and secure network infrastructure for a fast-growing defense technology company. You'll independently manage both on-premises and AWS cloud environments while ensuring compliance with defense industry regulations and supporting rapid organizational growth.
What you'll do
- Own and maintain production network environments spanning on-premises infrastructure and AWS cloud networking
- Design and implement network segmentation strategies for regulated, security-sensitive environments
- Administer firewall policies and access controls across multiple platforms
- Independently troubleshoot complex multi-site network issues
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including diagrams, schemas, and configuration baselines
- Collaborate with IT, security, and engineering teams on infrastructure planning

- Network administration (routing, switching, firewalls, WAN/LAN, wireless)
- AWS cloud networking (VPC, security groups, VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway)
- Firewall management (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA)
- Network segmentation and security design
- CMMC 2.0 and NIST 800-171 compliance
- Network troubleshooting and independent problem-solving
- Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
- Technical documentation and network diagramming
