About this role

ALO is hiring a Software Engineer for Performance Engineering to optimize speed, scalability, and reliability across their web and mobile platforms. You'll design and execute performance testing strategies, resolve bottlenecks across the stack, and embed performance best practices into development workflows while collaborating with multiple engineering teams.

What you'll do

  • Design and execute performance testing strategies including load, stress, spike, and endurance tests using tools like k6, Gatling, and JMeter
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, caching, and distributed systems
  • Integrate performance testing and regression detection into CI/CD pipelines for continuous measurement
  • Build profiling, tracing, and telemetry solutions using observability tools
  • Partner with engineering teams to provide technical guidance and hands-on support for performance challenges
  • Drive adoption of performance engineering best practices and lead performance considerations in design and development
