About this role

Location: Remote (US) | Reports to: Strategy & Ops, Senior Manager | Compensation: 60,000–100,000 base + eligible for bonus

About the role

A child's ABA therapy can't start until a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is hired. Behavior technicians are the scarcest resource in ABA, and families wait for them. Alpaca Health recruits RBTs for the ABA clinics we work with. Most of our candidates today come from inbound applicants and direct outreach. Nobody has had time to build the channels that bring in new behavior technicians steadily. That is this role.

You will build our campus and partnership recruiting from scratch. No program, playbook or event calendar exists yet. You decide which schools to target, make the first contact, and show up in person. Then you report honestly on what produced hires.

What you'll do

  • Build and run campus recruiting at colleges and universities, focusing on psychology, education, speech/OT, social work and pre-health programs

  • Plan and staff job fairs and career events, on campus and in the community

  • Set up standing partnerships with career centers, faculty, student organizations and RBT training programs

  • Create internship, practicum and student-to-RBT pathways, including helping students without certification complete the 40-hour training and credentialing

  • Track which schools and events produce hires, at what cost, and decide where to spend next

  • Lead the offshore RBT recruiters day to day: set weekly targets, review their pipeline reports, coach them on outreach and follow-up, and keep their work consistent. You are the day-to-day manager, and you work alongside Strategy & Ops team on priorities and hiring targets

What we're looking for

Must have

  • Experience recruiting high-volume hourly or entry-level roles

  • Experience recruiting behavior technicians or RBTs, or in comparable high-volume healthcare, education or childcare hiring

  • Comfort cold-contacting career offices and building relationships with people who owe us nothing

  • Willingness to travel to campuses and events periodically, as-needed basis

  • Experience leading or coordinating recruiters, ideally a remote or offshore team, and clear, organized reporting on pipeline and cost per hire

Nice to have

  • Existing relationships with ABA, psychology or special education programs

  • Experience building a campus or early-career program from zero

  • Familiarity with RBT certification requirements

What success looks like in your first 90 days

  • A ranked target list of schools and programs, with reasons for the ranking

  • First-contact conversations opened with 10+ career centers or departments

  • At least 1 events or job fairs scheduled or attended

  • A first student-to-RBT pathway designed and ready to pilot with one partner

  • A simple tracker showing sources, candidates and hires, so we can decide where to invest
