About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks an Exterior Lighting Engineer to lead development of advanced automotive lighting systems from concept through vehicle launch. You'll own system requirements, optical performance, packaging, validation, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver innovative solutions.

What you'll do

  • Lead design, integration, and validation of exterior lighting systems including headlamps and fog lamps
  • Define system requirements and ensure seamless integration across optical, mechanical, electrical, and software components
  • Drive component and vehicle-level testing for performance, durability, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Evaluate and implement emerging lighting technologies, architectures, and cost-effective innovations
  • Partner with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical challenges and support vehicle launches
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring across engineering teams
