About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to maintain uptime and health of fielded imaging systems deployed in defense applications. You'll diagnose production issues across the full stack, escalate genuine software defects to engineering, and build durable runbooks to prevent recurring problems—with ~15% travel for field support.

What you'll do

  • Triage, diagnose, and resolve issues in deployed imaging systems across networking, hardware, calibration, and software layers
  • Serve as escalation point for customer support and field personnel when systems malfunction in production
  • Create and maintain runbooks, diagnostics, and self-service tooling to prevent repeat issues
  • Cleanly reproduce software defects and hand off to Mission Software Engineers with clear documentation
  • Participate in structured on-call rotation including after-hours and weekend coverage
  • Turn field reliability insights into product improvements (observability, safer upgrades, graceful failures)

What they're looking for

  • Linux system administration and troubleshooting
  • Networking diagnostics (IP, routing, VPNs, field/constrained environments)
  • Cross-layer systems debugging (hardware, firmware, services, cloud)
  • Production support and field engineering experience
  • Runbook and documentation creation
  • Remote troubleshooting and non-technical communication
  • On-call incident response
  • Hardware/software system integration knowledge
