Feature Requirements Engineer
About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Vehicle Feature Owner to define and manage functional requirements for vehicle features throughout the development lifecycle. You'll own feature specifications, assess impacts of changes across systems, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure requirements align with business objectives and regulatory needs in the automotive industry.
What you'll do
- Own functional definition and behavior specifications for assigned vehicle features including performance expectations and operating conditions
- Evaluate impacts of new features, enhancements, modifications, and regulatory changes on system requirements and downstream interfaces
- Collaborate with Requirements Management and Systems Engineering to translate feature intent into accurate system requirements
- Communicate feature changes and requirement impacts to cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment on functionality
- Identify risks associated with feature changes and support decision-making on requirement releases and feature evolution
- Resolve ambiguities, conflicts, and gaps in feature requirements and act as authoritative source for feature intent
