Harness Design Engineer

As a Harness Design Engineer, you will ;

• Own electrical harness design for the drone airframe, docks, and test platforms. The role is approximately 90% electrical and 10% mechanical (clips, routing, retention).

Responsibilities;

• Design wire harnesses for the airframe, dock systems, and test benches
• Select connectors, wire, and harness components
• Create harness drawings, schematics, wire lists, and BOMs
• Define routing, clipping, and retention with the mechanical team
• Plan and support harness testing (continuity, hipot) and resolve issues
• Support transition of harness designs to production

Required Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of harness design experience
• Connector and component selection experience
• Wire sizing, shielding, grounding, and power distribution fundamentals
• Harness test and validation experience
• Familiarity with the aerospace regulatory environment (FAA airworthiness requirements) and aerospace wiring standards (e.g., SAE AS50881)

Preferred Qualifications

• UAV or aerospace harness experience
• Harness design tools (e.g., Capital, E3, SolidWorks Electrical)
• Experience supporting production build and inspection

Salary Range: $120k - $150k
