Manufacturing Engineer
About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to drive production excellence through process validation, cycle time analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll analyze shop floor operations, identify inefficiencies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions that enhance manufacturing performance and operational alignment.
What you'll do
- Conduct shop floor observations to evaluate production execution and verify compliance with manufacturing standards
- Perform cycle time studies and root cause analysis to identify deviations from planned production standards
- Apply Pareto analysis and analytical tools to prioritize process improvement opportunities
- Develop corrective action plans to reduce cycle time losses and improve throughput
- Maintain manufacturing routing data and operational information in SAP or similar ERP systems
- Collaborate with production, quality, logistics, and planning teams on continuous improvement initiatives
