Seat Complete Design Release Engineer
About this role
Lead the complete design and release of vehicle seating systems from concept through production, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Manage cross-functional integration, supplier coordination, and product lifecycle while driving quality and cost improvements.
What you'll do
- Design and integrate seat structures, components, foam, trim, and complete seat systems
- Manage product release lifecycle including BOMs, design revisions, and change management
- Develop DVPRs and support prototype and production builds
- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting on design and manufacturing issues
- Collaborate with suppliers, design, manufacturing, and quality teams on seat integration and delivery
- Ensure all designs meet FMVSS, ECE regulations, performance specs, and customer requirements
