About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Soft and Virtual ECU Engineer to develop virtual test platforms (xIL) for next-generation automotive vehicle controllers across multiple domains including ADAS, E-powertrain, and connected services. You'll work in an agile, global software organization with a test-first mentality, collaborating on virtualization technologies, CI/CD implementation, and validation methodologies from early design through deployment.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop virtual test platforms (MIL, SIL, HIL) for ECU validation across ADAS, energy, E-powertrain, and body/cockpit domains
  • Collaborate with software development and test engineers to implement test-first approach from design phase through validation
  • Set benchmarks in virtualization technologies, troubleshooting, automation, and CI/CD methodology
  • Manage virtual and soft ECU generation at various abstraction levels and integrate with toolchains
  • Apply model-based systems engineering and design practices to advance software verification and validation methods
  • Support continuous design verification and testing in highly virtualized environments within agile teams
