About this role

AnaVation seeks an experienced ETL/Data Migration Engineer to design and execute large-scale data migration pipelines for a federal modernization program. You'll architect petabyte-scale ETL operations, ensure data quality across legacy-to-cloud transitions, and collaborate across engineering teams in a fast-paced, security-cleared environment.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for petabyte-scale data migration from legacy systems to cloud platforms
  • Lead operational execution of migration cycles, troubleshoot pipeline failures, and resolve data anomalies in real time
  • Perform data quality validation, completeness assessments, and root cause analysis for data defects
  • Partner with cloud engineers, DevSecOps teams, DBAs, and QA to ensure seamless pipeline integration with cloud architectures
  • Create and maintain comprehensive ETL documentation including data maps, flow diagrams, transformation logic, and standard operating procedures
  • Provide migration status reports, pipeline performance metrics, and data quality benchmarks to leadership
