About this role
Anduril Industries seeks Automation Engineers to design, program, and scale automated manufacturing systems for defense technology production. You'll work across industrial robotics, PLCs, controls platforms, and custom software integration to transform hardware designs into high-volume production across multiple sites.
What you'll do
- Design and deploy full-lifecycle automated assembly, testing, and material-handling workcells from concept through production
- Develop and optimize PLC, HMI, and SCADA code on platforms like Beckhoff TwinCAT, Siemens TIA Portal, and Rockwell/Allen-Bradley
- Program, calibrate, and integrate multi-axis industrial and collaborative robots with advanced trajectory planning and vision guidance
- Design electrical schematics, panel layouts, and safety circuits ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and UL508A standards
- Integrate custom tooling, vision systems, and edge devices using Python, C++, or C# to connect production equipment with MES and telemetry systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally to implement Design for Automation principles and streamline product introduction processes
