About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an Automation Engineer to design, build, and commission automated manufacturing systems across their defense technology factories. You'll own automation projects end-to-end, from concept through production deployment, integrating robotics, control systems, and machine vision to optimize throughput and safety.
What you'll do
- Own automation projects from design through commissioning and production handover
- Design and integrate automated cells including robots, cobots, material handling, and inspection systems
- Integrate control systems (PLCs, HMIs, vision, robotics, safety) across manufacturing cells
- Create 2D/3D CAD designs for automation lines and components
- Collaborate with product and manufacturing teams to scope appropriate automation levels
- Drive continuous improvement and troubleshoot equipment issues with cross-functional teams

- PLC and HMI integration and programming
