About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the technical development of advanced naval airpower systems from concept through flight test. You'll direct multi-disciplinary engineering teams, oversee prototype build and integration, and drive rapid execution while balancing technical rigor with programmatic speed.

What you'll do

  • Own technical baseline and lead multi-disciplinary teams (aerodynamics, structures, GNC, propulsion, avionics, software) through design, integration, and verification
  • Coordinate prototype fabrication, assembly, and resolve engineering challenges during build
  • Plan and execute comprehensive test programs including ground test, SIL/HIL, and developmental flight test
  • Guide critical design trades, subsystem optimization, and interface management for vehicle architecture
  • Serve as technical authority for system safety and airworthiness, supporting military flight releases
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving for integration and test issues; support production transition
