About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an experienced Chief Engineer to lead technical development of advanced ISR and strike aircraft platforms. You'll own the technical baseline from concept through detailed design, prototype build, and flight test, directing multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative airborne systems on rapid timelines.
What you'll do
- Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams through detailed design, system integration, and verification across aerodynamics, structures, GNC, propulsion, avionics, and software
- Coordinate fabrication and assembly of prototypes while resolving engineering challenges during the build process
- Plan and execute comprehensive ground and developmental flight test campaigns to validate performance and expand operational envelope
- Drive critical design trades, subsystem optimization, and interface management to ensure cohesive high-performance vehicle architecture
- Serve as technical authority for system safety and airworthiness, supporting military flight release documentation
- Partner with manufacturing engineering to ensure design-for-manufacturability and support production transition
