About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Configuration Design Engineer to lead early-stage conceptual design and multi-disciplinary vehicle configuration for next-generation Group 5 UAS and advanced missile platforms. You'll translate mission requirements into optimized, flight-ready designs while operating at the front end of the development cycle.

What you'll do

  • Lead physical layout, sizing, and configuration design of air vehicles and missile systems from concept through preliminary design
  • Develop parametric CAD models and complex surface models for aircraft concepts
  • Conduct multi-disciplinary trade studies and optimization across aerodynamics, structures, and payload integration
  • Manage configuration baselines and support detailed design phase handoffs
  • Collaborate with aerodynamicists, structures engineers, and propulsion specialists on integrated solutions
  • Rapidly iterate designs to meet aggressive development timelines
