About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Controls Engineer to maintain and improve automated manufacturing systems across defense production facilities. You'll debug PLC logic, enforce control system standards, integrate manufacturing software, and lead root cause analysis to ensure reliable production automation at scale.
What you'll do
- Debug PLC logic and drive continuous improvement of Anduril's automation standards
- Enforce internal standards for control architectures, compliance, and safety approvals
- Integrate manufacturing software into automation equipment and production lines
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation failures
- Design HMI/SCADA screens using Ignition by Inductive Automation per branding standards
- Partner cross-functionally to troubleshoot equipment, reduce downtime, and improve processes
What they're looking for
- Allen Bradley PLC programming
- 24v, 120v, and 480v electrical troubleshooting
- AutoCAD Electrical for reading and modifying electrical drawings
- Ethernet-based communication protocols
- Ignition SCADA/HMI design
- Servo drive and VFD configuration (preferred)
- PID tuning and motion control (preferred)
- Machine guarding and NFPA electrical standards knowledge (preferred)
