Anduril Industries
Electrical Design Engineer, Air Dominance and Strike
About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to develop avionics systems for military air dominance platforms. You'll handle end-to-end electrical system design, PCB layout, integration, and testing while collaborating across functional teams in a fast-paced defense technology environment.
What you'll do
- Design and develop avionics systems and subsystems for aerospace vehicles
- Perform power system analysis, simulation, and electrical loading calculations
- Design mixed-signal PCBs with multi-layer stackups, impedance matching, and proper grounding
- Integrate and test electrical systems using lab equipment and conduct thermal/EMI validation
- Create system interconnect diagrams and drive cable harnessing designs with appropriate wire/connector selection
- Support microcontroller bring-up, firmware debugging, and cross-functional system integration
What they're looking for
- PCB design and layout (multi-layer, impedance matching, grounding)
- Power system and electrical loading analysis
- Lab test equipment operation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, DMM)
- Electrical bus interfaces (CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, RS232/422, RS485, USB)
- Microcontroller design and bring-up
- Low-level firmware development and debugging
- Analog and digital electronics circuit design
- Cable harnessing and connector selection
