About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Field Test Engineer to lead at-sea testing and operations of autonomous underwater vehicles and subsea systems. You'll plan and execute complex maritime test events, troubleshoot equipment in austere conditions, and serve as the bridge between engineering design and real-world ocean validation, with approximately 50% international travel.

What you'll do

  • Plan, execute, and analyze at-sea test events for AUVs and subsea systems
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, operation, and maintenance of maritime equipment in the field
  • Lead pre-mission testing, launch/recovery, vehicle tasking, and data analysis for multiple platforms
  • Write, review, and execute test plans; author detailed operational reports documenting test execution
  • Coordinate test efforts with vendors, partners, and logistics companies; support customer-facing operations
  • Contribute to design reviews and next-generation product development based on field insights
