Firmware Engineer, Manufacturing Test
About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Firmware Engineer to develop test platforms and automation solutions for manufacturing validation of advanced defense systems. You'll create low-level firmware for microcontrollers and embedded Linux environments, debug complex hardware-software integration issues, and establish production test procedures to ensure product quality.
What you'll do
- Develop firmware and software for test platforms interfacing with microcontrollers, sensors, robots, and data acquisition tools
- Create low-level drivers and validation code for multiple bus protocols (I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, USB, Ethernet, RS232/485)
- Debug cross-boundary issues spanning electrical, firmware, and software domains; document solutions as SOPs
- Participate in DFT/DFM reviews with electrical and product firmware teams
- Build device-side system validation using SSH, gRPC, and debugging tools
- Optimize test automation, throughput, user interfaces, and data analytics methods
