About this role
Astranis seeks an Environmental Test Engineer Associate for a 12-week salaried position to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software on an interdisciplinary team. You'll operate thermal chambers, vacuum systems, vibration tables, and RF test equipment to validate components destined for space.
What you'll do
- Operate and set up environmental test equipment including thermal chambers, TVAC, vibration shakers, and EMI/EMC systems
- Execute and conduct environmental testing protocols covering vibration, acoustics, thermal, thermal vacuum, and RF domains
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on satellite hardware and software design and testing
- Learn and master various test instruments such as DAQs, oscilloscopes, and thermal monitoring systems
- Document test procedures and manage multiple testing tasks with effective prioritization
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues under time constraints
