About this role
Anduril Industries is hiring a Senior Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing operations at their new 5M sq ft Arsenal-1 facility. You'll develop simulation models, design production lines, and drive operational improvements across hardware manufacturing—from ground vehicles to aerial platforms—while collaborating with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Business Operations teams.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain 3D simulation-based virtual factory models using discrete event simulation software to capture processes, constraints, and decision logic
- Design new production line and workstation layouts for both low-rate and full-rate production using data-driven approaches
- Identify bottlenecks, process variations, and imbalances; escalate to appropriate teams and drive resolution
- Create feasible schedules and capacity plans ensuring resource availability, material flow, and timeline alignment across shop floor and supply chain
- Monitor and translate production metrics (cycle time, throughput, utilization, first pass yield) into actionable improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally on end-to-end operational improvements as defense products scale in production rate
