About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an Integration & Test Engineer specializing in surrogate platform testing for Omen, an autonomous tail-sitter aircraft. You'll lead flight test activities using crewed testbeds, full-size mock-ups, and powertrain rigs to validate subsystem performance before integration into production air vehicles, operating in a high-velocity environment with direct product ownership.
What you'll do
- Own and execute surrogate platform test activities including crewed carry configurations, full-size mock-ups, and powertrain rigs
- Develop and execute test plans for surrogate flight operations, capturing learnings and providing design recommendations
- Lead integration of Vehicle and Mission System components onto surrogate platforms for characterization across representative flight envelopes
- Coordinate crewed surrogate operations including pod integration, instrumentation, pre-flight checks, and mission planning
- Plan and execute powertrain rig operations for propulsion and control system integration testing
- Ensure safety through hazard identification, risk management, and coordinate test range access and airspace approvals across multiple locations
What they're looking for
- Flight test operations and planning
- Subsystem integration and payload installation on flight platforms
- Flight test instrumentation (FTI), telemetry systems, and real-time data monitoring
- High-voltage system integration and checkout
- Data acquisition (DAQ) setup and sensor selection
- Communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, Serial) and command-line interface
- Airspace management and flight test safety protocols
- Configuration control and technical documentation
