About this role
Captivation Software seeks a Junior Systems Engineer to support mission-critical system development in a hybrid role based in Annapolis Junction, MD. You'll bridge customer needs and development teams by gathering requirements, creating user stories, managing sprint backlogs, and conducting testing within an Agile environment.
What you'll do
- Gather and decompose functional requirements from government customers into detailed technical specifications
- Develop user stories and acceptance criteria that guide development team implementation
- Curate and groom sprint backlogs, ensuring stories are properly sized and sequenced
- Support developers by answering implementation questions and removing blockers
- Conduct initial functional testing to validate features against requirements
- Present completed features to customers and incorporate feedback for iterations
